Signature Long Haul is the Phoenix that has risen from the ashes of the former Scheduled Long Haul team at Thomas Cook. Scheduled Long Haul employed a team of 70 people and was one the divisions of the Thomas Cook group that remained extremely successful until the collapse of the business.
We are pleased to have taken on a large proportion of the old team and will be offering the same amazing product and service that agents who dealt with Thomas Cook Long Haul have become accustomed to. The Scheduled Long Haul Division was previously known as Thomas Cook Signature and our new brand pays homage to the old and new name.

Agent Discount Rates

  • Barter arrangement: You pay for your hotel, but if you then sell that hotel you get the money you paid for your stay back
  • Free nights: pay for a certain number of nights and get more nights free (this offer would not be available to the general public)
  • Discounted Rates: Agent discount rates apply to flights, hotels, cruises and car hire. You will benefit from a percentage discount off the best rate available to the public

Why I Love Travel

From a young age I went so Spain with my family and I knew that one day travel would be the industry I wanted to work in. I never let go of that dream and at 16 I left school and immediately started work in a Thomas Cook store. I have been in travel ever since which is now 34 years and I've never wanted to do anything else. I love to talk to agents about their customers holiday and share my knowledge with them to make it the perfect itinerary for them. Everybody's holiday is unique to them and I like to listen to their wishes and make it perfect My favourite saying which sums up travel for me is 'Travel - arrive speechless and leave a story teller'

I will take the time to ask you questions so i can understand what is really important to the customer, I like to know how much sightseeing they like to do, if they were on holiday right now, what would they be doing?. No two holidays are the same so what is perfect for one customer may not be for the next. I have worked in a store so I know how our retail agents have to multi task and I will always try to make it as easy for you as possible. My agents should never worry if they don't have any knowledge of an area, I'm always happy to give advise or find out from someone who knows. My partner is Dutch so I spend as much time as I can in the Netherlands to visit family and our two very cute grandchildren. I am trying to learn Dutch but its not rolling off the tongue as quick as I would like ! My 3 year old grandson is corrects me with pronunciation !! I don't think he realises I'm speaking English, I think he thinks I'm speaking very bad Dutch

I love to travel and this year I went to Sydney to spend time with my Australian family and my cousin and I went on the Princess Majestic cruise to New Zealand, this was my first cruise and I loved every bit of it.

If I can fit in any free time after all the travelling , I love to upcycling old furniture , I love chalk paint and can loose my self for hours painting, this attention to detail is what I out into my tailor made itineraries . I also have 3 cats and a pet chicken who loves to eat my plants. I reached that age where I love gardening ! I love to be outside whenever I can.

I have always been passionate about travel and discovering the hidden treasures of the world. I am free spirited and always seeking for a new adventure at a new destination. Travelling has opened my mind and has help me to realize that there's no one way to live life. My view of the world has been enriched because I have been exposed to different people, cultures and places. I feel in love with travel well before joining Thomas Cook in 2017 and by then I had already experienced amazing places such as India, South Africa and The Gambia. I started my career working on the phones in sales and soon after progressed to become a Team Manager for the Outbound Sales Team and later moved to Scheduled Long Haul to lead the Service & Operations Team where I was able to improve the training, processes and also introduced a Pilot for Live Chat which enabled us to service our customers more efficiently.

Why I Love Travel

Travel is something that everyone is interested in and people always want to talk about. It's a great ice-breaker and I love sharing my knowledge and ideas to other people so that they can perhaps visit destinations that they had not previously considered or suggest a tour which will appeal to their interests. I have been hooked on travel since my first trip abroad at 17 years old and since then I have travelled extensively including Australia, Japan, UAE (of course), Bahamas, Bermuda, Africa, Sri Lanka, New York and Indonesia plus much more! There are still so many places on my bucket list though!

What to expect from me

I love to help people and I am keen to break down any barriers that might stop people building their dream holiday and as a result I will always do my utmost to help solve any issues you may have. I have travelled extensively around UAE and Africa and so am always at hand to help you with complicated itineraries or queries. I'm a real people person and love meeting new people and suppliers. I have also lead many exciting FAM trips, where I have always imparted as much knowledge as I can to the agents so they can return and confidently sell the destination, whilst always continuing to be at hand if they need any help.

I love my job and I'm really proud that I can say that! Travel is my passion and all of my working life has been in the travel industry. I especially love to take my family away with me so we can experience things together. I do like to relax by the pool and enjoy a good book but I'm much happier when I am exploring! I've climbed Sigiriya Rock in Sri Lanka a few times, witnessed the thrill of a safari in Africa, snorkelled on a remote island in Indonesia, visited rain forests in Australia, sang karaoke in Japan (in recording studio with friends!!) attended a wedding in Central Park in New York, visited the pyramids in Egypt plus much much more!

I love discovering new places and very rarely visit the same place twice. I've also been very privileged to stay in the most amazing hotels during my career too. Next on the list is Elephant Hills in Thailand and I would also love to visit the orang-utans in Borneo! On a personal level, when I am not running around after my two children, I love exploring the countryside and walking my dog Ben, a poodle cross, who I recently adopted from a rescue centre. I also recently completed the couch to 5k too (a big achievement for a totally non-sporty person like myself!) and to relax I enjoy watching a good thriller on TV!

My passion and love for travel started when I was a child and went to book our first family holiday. Watching the store agent work gave me the realisation that travel is all I wanted to do as a career so I tailored my education to secure qualifications in Travel and Tourism. I love to share every little tip of destinations I've been to. The planet has so much to offer the discerning traveller and I love to provide the traveller the ways and means to explore it and share in that excitement.

Why I Love Travel

At Thomas Cook the Scheduled Data Control team served as a support function for the contact centre, so it was great when we were able to solve an issue which allowed the sales consult to complete the booking.

I started working in travel in December 2012 as an Agent Services advisor in the contact centre for Thomas Cook, helping travel agents with complex amendments to their bookings. From there I moved onto the Staff Travel team, taking calls from staff members which included everyone from pilots to directors looking to book their own Thomas Cook Holiday. After 3 years in the contact centre I took a role as a Purchasing Assistant. I dealt with amendments to hotel contracts on Topics, preparing sales stats for the Contract Managers and helping them with their business travel arrangements. In November 2016 I started in the Scheduled Data Control team where I worked up until I was made redundant. This job was my first experience of the Scheduled business and I'm glad to have knowledge of both charter and scheduled. I have a broad knowledge of several destinations which I have acquired over the years in my several different roles as well as my own personal experience. My long haul travel includes destinations such as Japan, Myanmar, Malaysia and the USA.

Travel was always something that excited me from a young age and I am happy I have been able to follow my dream and work in this field. I started my career in sales and developed into working in the after sales/operations team where my skill set lied.

I first began working in travel in 2001, when I joined the Caribbean sales team at Thomas Cook Signature. Over the next few years I expanded my knowledge by cross training on to new products, including Thomas Cook cities, Far East, Africa and Indian Ocean. After a few years working in sales I was selected to be in charge of Starlight Charity bookings, arranging dream holidays for seriously ill children. By the end of my time in the sales centre I was also considered an expert in Thomas Cook Tours, Canada tailor-made and round the world itineraries. In 2014 I made the move to Data Control, where I was responsible for loading and maintaining the Canada product, until collapse of Thomas Cook in September 2019. In November 2019 I was lucky enough to start a new role as Data Control Executive at Signture Long Haul.
